Mango can be installed on any Windows, macOS, or Linux system. Typically, Linux is the preferred platform for production systems. Regardless, you need the OS completely setup and must install a minimum of Java 17 for Mango 5.x, Java 11 for Mango 4.x; and Java 8 as a minimum for Mango 3.x. Radix recommends you visit Adoptium, download and install their OpenJDK version recommended for the Mango version being deployed. It should be noted that newer versions have not been completely tested and you may experience problems. We recommend you discuss the use of other versions of Java in the Mango Forum.

Download the module zip file into the <MA_HOME>/web/modules directory, and restart Mango Automation. Do not unzip the module files. The module file will be automatically expanded and any necessary installation will be performed upon start up. You can also download modules directly through the Mango web interface (If it is connected to the internet) by going to Mango Automation on the modules.shtm page. Regardless after adding modules you will need to restart Mango.
Do not delete modules from your instance's 'modules' directory. If you no longer need a module, be sure to mark it for deletion in the module list page from within the Mango web interface, and then restart your instance. This gives the module code an opportunity to clean up after itself when you restart your instance.
If you are upgrading an instance of Mango 3.x to 4.x or 4.x to 5.x you should be aware your license will not remain valid. License restrictions change between major versions. You should take care to backup your existing Mango instance and license when performing the upgrade! More notes about the upgrade procedure can be found here.
